Chaos (I)

English traduction, by Christina :

Chaos

I am interested in chaos, in the scientific and artistic ways.
Social chaos does not inspire me,whereas otherwise (scientific and artistic) are for me the essential conditions of life and evolution.
In a previous article (link), I applied myself to represent a chaotic texture.
Taking advantage of this experience, I used its benefits for the representation of the hair in the portrait titled Nefertitine. We can read all the articles about the "chaos".
Today I wish to add a new component to this research.
Last year, we stayed a few days in a Swiss city to observe the coexistence of trees and humans, the latest represented by residential buildings. I took about 300 pictures to assist my memory.
As always, I did some studies in pencil to draw the structure of the image yet unborn.
Please, see the graphite sketches, the two first images.
I also laid the preliminary study of the color harmony. In this case, I chose to spread the cool tones in the foreground, leaving the hot lights in the background. Far from being free provocation, I took advantage, on the contrary, to express the wonderful freshness offered by theses plants in an urban environment warmed up by a heat wave.
Please, see : Etude couleur
Here is an intermediate state of the painting :

We can see the work completed with egg-tempera on paper :
Please, see :  Invitation, September 6, 2015
I will present in the next article a work where chaos will be presented for himself, without contrasting element (here the yellow background structured with vertical and horizontal lines) for the showcase.
