Comme annoncé la semaine dernière, voici dès aujourd'hui sur les fils du web les deux livres écrits par Christina et illustrés par moi-même.

Vous en reprendrez bien un peu est un recueil de textes courts illustrés. Christina revient sans concession, mais avec tout le sel de son humour sur des événements parfois improbables de sa riche existence ; elle m'a invité à compléter ses histoires de quelques illustrations. Pour cette série, les images adoptent le ton du sourire poétique.

Comme si le soleil brillait partout se présente sous forme de textes "nouvellisants". Vous la retrouvez, enceinte, avec d'un bébé de 18 mois et d'un mari qui voit ses capacités de travail se réduire brutalement. Cerise sur le gâteau, tout ce petit monde évolue dans un vieux chalet des Alpes suisses.

Christina raconte au plus près de sa sensibilité et avec humour les découvertes qu'elle y a faites sur les richesses et les limites de son environnement et d'elle-même. Cette fois encore elle m'a gentiment offert la partition visuelle de son ouvrage, ajoutant du même coup une seconde voix à son chant intime.

Pour conclure, tout en rebondissant sur l'article précédent, je ne peux que vous inviter à jouer le jeu et à télécharger ces 2 ouvrages pour comparer l'expérience de leur lecture avec l'expérience de la seule vision des illustrations, pour elle-même. Vous pourrez alors constater, d'une part comment votre propre imaginaire complète les images, mais aussi comment le texte et son image forme un couple authentique, plus évocateur que l'image ou le texte seul.

Bien que les ouvrages soient en français, voici une traduction de l'article pour nos amis anglophones. Aujourd'hui encore, c'est Christina qui peaufine la version anglaise. Merci à elle.

The girl next door productions

As announced last week,you will find today on the web the two books written
by Christina web and illustrated by myself.

Won’t you have some more ? is a collection of illustrated short stories. Christina returns without compromise, but with all the salt of his humor, uncertain, sometimes improbables events offer rich existence ; she invited me to complete her texts with a few illustrations. For this serie, the images adopt the tone of a poetic smile.

As if the sun was shining everywhere appears under the form of texts « newellisants ». Finding herself pregnant, with an 18 months old baby and a new husband who sees his working habilities cruelly reduced. Top on the cake... this little world is evolving in a very old chalet lost in the Swiss Alps.
Christina relates, to the nearest of her sensitivity and humor, the discoveries that she made concerning the wealth and most of all the limits of her environment and especially herself.
Again she kindly offered me the visual partition of her work, adding at the same time a second voice to her inner song.

To conclude, while bouncing on the previous article, I can only invite you to play the game by downloading these 2 items and compare the experience of reading them with the experience of the sole vision of the illustrations for themselves. You will then see, at first how your own imagination completes the images, but also how the text and its images forms a genuine couple more evocative than the image or text alone.
